Terms of Sale
Last updated: October 2026
These Terms of Sale apply to purchases made from KAIHŌ through my website.
They explain how orders, payment, delivery, returns, and complaints are handled when you shop with me. They are written to be clear and practical, but they do not limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
1. Who I am
KAIHŌ is operated by:
Therese Stokkan
Jan Steneruds vei 14
Email: hello@kaihojewellery.com
Organisation number: 928096386
In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" refer to KAIHŌ.
"You" and "your" refer to the customer placing an order with me.
2. Where these terms apply
These terms apply to consumer purchases made through my website.
They apply together with the information shown on the product page, at checkout, in your order confirmation, and in my linked policies, including my Shipping Policy, Return Policy, and Privacy Policy. If there is a direct conflict between these terms and specific information shown at checkout, the checkout information will apply unless mandatory law says otherwise.
3. Eligibility to order
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you, in order to place an order on my website.
4. Products
I aim to present my jewellery as accurately as possible, including descriptions, images, materials, and measurements. However, slight variations may occur.
In particular:
- colours and finishes may appear differently depending on your screen or device
- handmade or made-to-order pieces may vary slightly from the images shown
- weights, dimensions, and finishes may differ slightly where this is natural for the product
These differences do not normally count as a defect unless the item differs materially from what was agreed.
5. Availability
All products are subject to availability. I may update, change, or discontinue products at any time.
Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, I will contact you and refund any amount paid for the unavailable item.
6. Prices, currency, taxes, and charges
Prices are shown in the currency stated on the website at the time of purchase.
Where required by law, prices shown to you at checkout will include applicable taxes. Shipping costs, and any other clearly stated charges, will be shown before you complete your order.
I reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors, technical errors, or inaccurate product information. If such an error affects your order, I will contact you before processing it or, if necessary, cancel the order and refund any amount paid.
7. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the products in your cart.
After you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging that I have received it. This does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A binding agreement is formed when I accept your order and send you a confirmation that the order has been approved for processing or dispatched, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
I may decline or cancel an order before dispatch for reasonable reasons, including:
- the product is unavailable
- I cannot verify payment
- there is an obvious pricing or product information error
- I suspect fraud, misuse, or unlawful activity
- I cannot deliver to the address provided
- legal restrictions prevent the sale
If I cancel an order before dispatch, I will refund any amount paid without undue delay.
8. Payment
I offer the payment methods shown at checkout. These may include card payments, Vipps, MobilePay, Klarna, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, depending on your device.
If you pay by card or another immediate payment method, the amount may be reserved when the order is placed and captured when the order is accepted or dispatched, depending on the payment method used.
By placing an order, you confirm that the payment information you provide is valid and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
9. Production time and dispatch
Some items are in stock and ready to ship. Others may be pre-ordered or made to order.
Estimated production and dispatch times are shown on the website or in my Shipping Policy. These time frames are estimates unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
If I become aware of a significant delay, I will contact you.
10. Delivery
I deliver within Norway, as described in my Shipping Policy.
Estimated delivery times vary by shipping method. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, weather, peak periods, or events outside my control.
I am responsible for delivering the goods to you in accordance with applicable consumer law. Risk passes to you when you, or a person identified by you, has physically received the goods.
Please make sure the delivery address you provide is accurate and complete. I am not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete address information provided by you.
11. Right to cancel before dispatch
If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact me as soon as possible.
If your order has not yet entered production or been dispatched, I will do my best to help. I cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations are possible once processing has started, especially for made-to-order or personalised items.
This does not affect any mandatory cancellation or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable law.
12. Returns and withdrawal rights
I offer a 14-day return period for eligible items from the date you receive your order.
If you want to return an item, please contact me within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be sent back within 14 days after you notify me of the return.
Returned items must be:
- unworn except for reasonable trying on
- clean and in good condition
- free from damage, marks, or alteration
- returned with any original packaging where reasonably possible
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning an item unless the return is due to my error or the item is faulty.
Custom-made, personalised, or clearly made-to-order items to your specification may not be eligible for cancellation or return where the law allows such an exclusion.
More practical information about returns is set out in my Return Policy. If there is any difference between that page and these Terms of Sale, these Terms of Sale will govern unless mandatory law says otherwise.
13. Refunds
Once I receive and inspect a returned item, I will confirm whether the return has been approved.
Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method without undue delay and, where required by law, no later than the deadline set by applicable consumer law.
I may withhold a refund until I have received the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, where this is permitted by law.
Original shipping charges are refunded only where required by law or where the return is due to my error.
14. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact me within a reasonable time after discovering the issue.
Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, refund, or another appropriate remedy.
Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights in relation to defective goods.
15. Your responsibility for use and care
Jewellery should be handled and stored with reasonable care. General wear, accidental damage, improper storage, exposure to chemicals, or use outside normal personal wear may affect durability and may not count as a product defect.
Care instructions on my website are guidance for helping your jewellery last well, but they do not limit any mandatory rights you may have by law.
16. If delivery is delayed
If I do not deliver your order within the agreed time, or within a reasonable time where no specific time was agreed, you may have rights under applicable law.
Please contact me first and I will try to resolve the issue promptly. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to request fulfilment, cancel the order, or receive a refund or other remedy.
17. If you do not collect your parcel
If a parcel is returned to me because it was not collected, refused, or could not be delivered due to incorrect information provided by you, I may charge you for the direct costs incurred for return shipping, redelivery, or handling, to the extent permitted by law.
If you no longer want the order, this will be treated as a return or cancellation only where applicable law allows it and the conditions for return are met.
18. My right to refuse or limit service
I reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel orders where reasonably necessary to protect my business, my customers, or comply with legal obligations. This includes suspected fraud, abuse of my policies, repeated non-collection of parcels, or behaviour that is threatening, unlawful, or clearly unreasonable.
I will not rely on this clause to limit any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
19. Privacy
I process personal data in accordance with my Privacy Policy.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Sale are governed by Norwegian law.
I hope to resolve any issue directly and fairly, so please contact me first if something has gone wrong.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms prevents you from relying on mandatory rights or seeking remedies through the courts or consumer dispute bodies that may be available to you under applicable law.
21. Changes to these terms
I may update these Terms of Sale from time to time. The version published on my website at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase.
